The 2022 YSEALI Summit is taking place in Phnom Penh, Cambodia from 5 to 9 December 2022. The theme of this year’s summit is economic empowerment.

Participants arrive at Phnom Penh International Airport and are greeted by staff and volunteers. Look out for our signs! Vans transfer participants to hotel. The YSEALI Summit Registration Table set up in the lobby will welcome participants and provide arrival packets.

For those participants arriving in the morning, please meet in the lobby at 12pm for a lunch and sightseeing outing in Phnom Penh! Anticipated return to the hotel around 3pm.

“The ASEAN We Want” Thematic Group Work
We'll split up into five thematic groups: Culture, Food & agriculture, Infrastructure, Environment, and Health & wellbeing. With support from thematic facilitators, smaller sub-groups will prepare a 10-minute dynamic pitch on a sub-topic of your choice, containing a narrative “in the life of” description and key policies or interventions required to achieve this outcome. Winning pitches receive a prize!

Buffet lunch will be available in the flex space beginning at 12:00pm.

Our program will conclude with a farewell formal dinner reception with invited external guests representing a cross-section of public and private sector leaders in Cambodia and ASEAN. This event will celebrate the critical role of youth leaders in building a stronger future for the region and recognize YSEALI’s contributions in this effort, and be a platform to share brief highlights of the Summit. Attire is semi-formal or traditional clothing!
